Q: I am replacing my front shock absorbers on my 2002 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE and the shocks i bought to replace them are not long enough
I have a 2002 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE, I am replacing the front shock absorbers and the new shocks I bought for them are not long enough. The long bolt on the top of the shock on the old one is 3 1/2 inches long, on the new ones the bolt is 2 1/2 inches long. I have gone to 3 different auto stores and they are all the same. I have looked on youtube to see how they replace them and in each video, the trucks don't have springs on them. My truck has springs and the shock goes inside it. Where can I find my shocks?
