I have been using my truck for daily commute for the last year or so. I have noticed that there is a fair amount of knocking that happens. It happends whenever I am accelerating between 1.5-2/2.4+ thousand rpm when above 40/45 mph. My dad has told my that there is a possilble problem with a spark plug and the oil pressure indicator on the dash needs to be swaped. I also don't pay much attention to the oil until it's almost dry, which is my own fault. The oil also hasn't been changed (by a service center) for at least 9-12 months because it's a daily driver and having it gone complicated things because my parents both work as well. I often have to use tow/haul to minimize the knock, or at the least artifically increase the rpm to keep them high.
My car has 201000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
