How should you tow in an emergency?

While it’s hoped that this will never happen to you, there’s always the chance that you’ll break down while you’re out and about. If this happens, you may need to have your vehicle towed. Make sure it’s towed following these instructions:

  • Never tow your car with the front wheels on the ground.

  • The best option for towing your Civic is to use a flatbed truck.

  • If a flatbed isn’t available, use a wheel lift to get the front tires off the ground. The rear tires can remain on the pavement.

Tips

  • Never tow your car by the bumper.

  • Your car is not designed to be towed behind an RV/motorhome.
