How do you adjust the height on a shoulder belt?

It’s important that the shoulder belt fits correctly. It should run across the center of your chest, and then over your shoulder. It should also not touch your neck. To get the right fit, you’ll need to use the seat belt height adjuster and here’s how to do that:

  1. Buckle the belt.

  2. Pull the center button on the adjuster out.

  3. Slide the adjuster up or down to get the right fit.

  4. Let go of the button.

  5. Tug on the seat belt to make sure that it’s locked in place.

Tip

You should adjust the height of the seat belt anytime you get into the driver’s seat after someone else has used it.
