How do I use the rear door safety locks?

The rear door safety locks are a key safety feature. In general, opening one of the vehicle’s doors from the inside will unlock the door. When the rear door safety lock is on, these doors cannot be unlocked or opened from the inside. This prevents young children from accidentally opening the doors. To turn on the rear door safety locks, press the rear door safety lock button, which is located on the instrument panel. A light next to the button will illuminate to confirm that the rear doors are safety locked. Press the button a second time to turn off the safety locks, at which point the light will disappear.
