The child safety rear door locks are a very important safety feature. When set, the locks make it so that the rear doors cannot be opened from the inside. You should always set these locks when young children are in the car. Setting the locks is easy: 1. Open the back doors. 2. Locate the Lock levers, which are near the latch on each door. 3. Move the Lock levers into the lock position. 4. Close the doors. 5. Try to open the doors from the inside, to make sure the locks work properly. Tips When the child safety rear locks are set, the doors can still be opened from the outside, if the traditional lock is not set.
