How do I set the parking brake?

Setting the parking brake will prevent the car from moving when you’re parked.

  1. Press down on the parking brake pedal with your foot.

  2. At the same time, press down on the brake pedal with your other foot.

  3. To release the parking brake, press down again on it.

Tip

The parking brake should be set anytime you stop the vehicle.
