How do I set a PIN to protect a phonebook?

If you’ve imported a phonebook from your cell phone to the HandsFreeLink® (HFL) system in your Accord, you have the option of setting a PIN number to protect it. Without the PIN, the phonebook can’t be accessed. To set one, all you have to do is:

  1. On the PIN screen, enter the new PIN you want to use with the phonebook (this is the default screen for any phonebook without a PIN).

  2. Once entered, you’ll need to re-enter the PIN for confirmation.

To change an existing PIN:

  1. Enter your current PIN

  2. Enter the new PIN

  3. Re-enter the new PIN to confirm

To delete a PIN:

  1. Choose “pin number”

  2. Choose “do not use PIN”
