Q: How do I know if the water pump is bad in an unstartable engine?
I am rehabbing a 1999 boat that has been sitting for 4 years with dual mercruiser 5.8l engines. My mechanic replaced both water pumps saying they were bad before he even had the engines running. How would he know if they were bad or not?
