Q: How do I disconnect angle gear from transfer case? I can't get to the three bolts on top

asked by on

How do I get to the three bolts on top to dislocate angle gear from transfer case is there a special way ?

My car has 138000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

This is a very difficult process and oftentimes requires the use of a special puller tool to get the angle gear off of the gearbox splines.

I would recommend having an expert assist in a project like this.
