How do I check the brake fluid?

At least once a year, you should check your brake fluid. Without a proper amount of brake fluid, your brake system cannot work. Checking your brake fluid level only takes a few seconds: 1. Raise the hood. 2. Locate the brake fluid reservoir. 3. Make sure the fluid is between the minimum and maximum lines.
