Q: How can I pull the seats in from the inside. My trunk won't open and the seat latch is in the trunk.

asked by on January 29, 2018

I want to know if there is a way to pull the back seats down from the inside. The problem is that somebody tried breaking into my trunk and ruined the keyhole and the latch so I can't open it from the outside. The latch to pull the seats down is in the trunk. That's where my issue is. Is there another way to pull the seats down without the opening the trunk? Or will I just have to pay somebody to fix the trunk.

My car has 170000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

This is normal way the shifter works. The button would need to be used to get from neutral to reverse. There is nothing wrong with your vehicle's shifter.
