Hi, I have a 2004 the Wrangler w/ the manual 5 speed. When taking off in first I have a brief rattle/ grinding sound right before I shift into second gear. It doesn't sound like metal on metal and doesn't happen in any other gear. The jeep shifts smoothly and operates as should.
