Hi Godwin I have a 2006 m45 sport I was adding oil and noticed all the radiator hoses were sucked in "collapsed " I thought they Needed to be replaced.upon further inspection I saw that the thermostat housing was actualling falling apart.so I ordered that part but it doesn't come til tomorrow along with the new thermostat.as a temporary fix I used this emergency radiator hose repair kit and inserted a pvc type hose into the thermostat housing and reconnected the radiator hoses.it stopped the antifreeze leak but the car still overheats.i wanted to make sure the water pump wasn't damaged also but I was told that if the water pump was damaged/broke it wouldn't allow me to start the car at all is this true

My car has 167645 miles.
My car's transmission is unknown to me.
