Q: Power steering

So it was a gift my uncle told me he changed the power steering system last year cause my steering wheel is crooked as well I asked if that has anything to do with it he replied with I just did all new power steering system at the time it wasn't making noise so a lil over year has passed and the noise started little by little over a month ago today I checked it and my power steering oil is low and black which brand of oil should I replace it with ?
