Q: Hello. When starting my 2011 Ford Fusion today after being parked for 4 hours, I received the Power steering assist fault message

asked by on July 07, 2017

I received the Power steering assist fault message today. My car had been parked for 4 hours with no previous indication of an issue. First time it has ever happened. Turned car off and restarted and the message did not recur, nor did I experience a loss of power steering. Could this be an error? Is it safe to drive?

My car has 150000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
