My check engine light came on and I took my 2009 Toyota Rav4 to my mechanic. after running diagnostics he came back and said the canister purge valve wasn't closing properly and needed to be replaced. He quoted me $1,000 and I am curious if there are any other reasonable options to fix this issue?

My car has 85000 miles.
