Q: Hello, I shut my car off after driving it about a mile and immediately heard a loud hissing noise like a tire deflating. The noise

asked by on February 13, 2018

I shut my car off after driving it one mile and immediately hear a loud hissing noise. The hissing was accompanied by a slow gas stream coming from somewhere beneath the exhaust manifold (from what I could tell). The stream of gas leaking out got thicker and thicker until it culminated in a large cloud of shite/gray smoke. This was all accompanied by a very unpleasant smell. The car would not start during the hissing and will not start now. No noise, no turn over, nothing. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

My car has 130000 miles.
My car has a manual transmission.
