Q: heater core bypass hoses stuck

98 camry 2.2L 4 cyl

Good evening, I'm trying to bypass the heater core in my 98 Camry while I wait for my new heater core to arrive. I am having trouble removing the upper and lower hoses from the pipes they are connected to. I am asking if I can connect my bypass hose to the pipes on the cabin side of the firewall, where the heater core is or will I have to cut the hoses and couple the bypass hose under the hood? Thank you in advance for your help.
