Q: Heater Core

asked by on October 16, 2017

Whenever I turn the knob from cold to hot/hot to cold a loud clicking noise appears under my dash which eventually shuts off. I’ve been told I needed a new heater core, and my engine may over heat. Should I continue driving it? I’d rather not drive it if it’ll make it over heat.

My car has 160000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission. It’s also a 2013 chevy impala
