Q: Hazard switch smokes

asked by on

This started recently. Each time I would indicate to make a right turn my hazard switch would start to smoke.
My car has a manual transmission.

It sounds like you have an electrical short, possibly at or near the hazard switch. Visual inspection and electrical testing will be needed to accurately find the location of the short. I suggest having a certified technician, like one from YourMechanic, determine the exact location of your short and offer you a quote for repair.
