The convertible top on my car won't open.

Its common for switches and relays to fail after years of reliable use and I think thats exactly what happened here. The first thing to check could be a fuse but after that I would suggest hiring a certified mechanic who has experience in electrical troubleshooting like one from YourMechanic to test for power at the various connectors and switches to find where the power stops.
