Q: Had no radiator lid didnt notice car wont start after overhating.

asked by on August 15, 2017

I was driving for about 3 miles until I started to see smoke come out my engine and start to overheat, I got off to check and noticed that my radiator lid was missing and there was coolant and oil all over the engine. Not sure where the oil came from but it was all over especially the bottom of the car, it seemed as if it had various leaks. I decided to just buy a radiator lid and make it home. On the way home it was making a slow jackhammer noise or pings and the car overheats barely making it home. I refilled the coolant and noticed the car would start but quickly overheat, so i checked my oil and saw that it was empty. I took of the ignition and fuel system fuse, took off the spark plugs except one, and water shoots out of the two middle spark plug holes as well as the radiator lid when cranked. Also all 4 cylinders only get about 80 psi on the compression test. Car cranks but wont start.

My car has 180000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
