Q: Gear for power fuel. 1979 Chevy K10

asked by on

My pickup truck has a 6 inch rough country lift kit and 35 inch tires. It also has an Edelbrock carburetor. I was wondering it you could tell me what gears I need to put in it to get the most power and fuel efficiency. Thank you.

Hello. Thanks for writing in about your 1979 Chevy K10. The best gear set to get for the best power and mileage would be 4.56 gears. That would be the best for this size tire. Just be sure to go with a good quality set of gears.
