Q: Gas tank access door not opening

asked by on

The lock on the gas tank access door does not disengage and we are unable to get to the gas cap to refill the car.

A visual inspection of the problem will help us determine the cause of your issue. You likely have a damaged cable which runs to the door, or even perhaps a broken piece of plastic in the system. A qualified technician, such as one from YourMechanic can assist you in diagnosis and repair.
