Q: Gas light staying on.

asked by on

My gas light is on and won't go off.

A: The low gas light on the instrument cluster...

The low gas light on the instrument cluster is controlled by the instrument cluster control module. If the fuel gauge is above a quarter tank and the light is on then the problem is in the cluster module and the complete cluster will have to be replaced or sent out for repair if it can be repaired. My recommendation is to check to see if a remanufactured one is available and have a qualified technician install it.
