Q: Gas leak, possibly need to replace line or clamp.

asked by on

Gas leaking from the top of the fuel tank. Fuel pump is still good. I believe a line or clamp has failed and needs replacing.

That is certainly possible. It is also possible that the lines from your fuel pump have failed. Unfortunately, depending on what part of your fuel line has failed you may need to replace your fuel pump assembly. I would recommend that you ask for help from a mechanic to inspect your gas tank and examine the connections and make the necessary repairs.
