Q: Q: Gas leak

asked by on

I just filled up my 99 chevy cavalier after buying it Friday I noticed it smelled of gas as soon as I put it in now I can see it's leaking. What could be the problem?

My car has 17200 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Hey there. As you may know a fuel leak can be extremely dangerous depending on the location and what is causing it. I would recommend not driving your car at all until you are able to have it looked at. Have a local expert, like one from YourMechanic, detect the leak and let you know what repairs are needed.
