How Does the Oil Lubrication Process Work in the Engine?
The lubrication system in an automotive engine (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/how-a-modern-engine-works) is vital to having a long-lasting engine with normal operating temperatures and metal wear. The lubrication will flow between all the rotating metal components to reduce wear and heat-related damage from friction...
I have a dent right where you open the door so if I suck the dent out will the door open
If the door stopped opening properly after the dent happened, then it's fairly safe to assume that the dent is the reason that the door won't open. Whether or not it will open after pulling the dent out depends on...
Saturn Ion wont change to 4th gear, its an automatic. The P0700 code comes up saying transaxal module. What does this means?
Hello. The code means there is either an electrical or mechanical (hydraulic) fault in the transmission, or the transmission "controls" and in your case that fault is causing your transmission not to shift. The fault itself can range from the...

My fuel gauge fluctuates between 1/4 and empty. A friend said that there was a way to reset it, it's supposed to be under the steering wheel.
There is no way to reset a fluctuating fuel gauge. The fuel gauge is bouncing or fluctuating for either the float in the fuel tank has a bad ground in the rheostat or the gauge cluster has a broke or...
Engine is making a Squeaky sound? 2007 Nissan 350Z
Hello - that squeak (https://www.yourmechanic.com/question/my-car-squeaks-when-i-drive-and-while-it-s-idling-by-brendan-d) sounds like a bearing to me - alternator, serpentine belt idler pulley, or possibly the water pump. Time for the stethoscope to narrow it down precisely! I recommend a enngine noise inspection (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/car-is-making-a-noise-inspection) performed by...
Car Ignition doesn't work. To turn it on you have to switch a box under the steering wheel that came out. I don't know how to fix
Hi there. It is possible that somebody has installed an aftermarket or bypass ignition system on this vehicle, as the standard OEM ignition lock cylinder is not configured like what you have described. It would probably be best to have...
