Q: follow up on the fill issue

asked by on December 29, 2017

When a gas pump shuts off sooner than it should, it’s due to one of two possible issues. Either the pump is damaged, or there is an issue with the fuel tank - either the fill neck is damaged, or one of the EVAP system components is causing excessive pressure inside the fuel tank, and triggering the pump to shut off.

how can you tell if its the fill neck bein damaged or the excessive pressure? would i have to go to a ford specialest to find this out?
