Q: Engine turns off when I shit into drive

asked by on September 15, 2017

We just recently changed the transmission, I don't know if that is the issue.

When I start the car it starts. You can hear the engine running. But as soon as I put it in drive it turns off. What is wrong, and does it have anything to do with my alternator, I am getting the alternator changed tomorrow

My car has 155000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
