I have a 2003 Ford Taurus. When the car is cold it runs great. After driving for a while and the engine gets warm I turn the car off and try to restart it and the car shuts down right away or won’t start at all. I have connected a diagnostic tool to the car and it showed an error code for the Fuel Rail pressure sensor. I have replaced this part twice but the problem keeps returning. I have replaced the spark plugs, spark plug wires, cleaned the PCV and replaced the PCV tube. No one can seem to figure out the problem. I have had 3 mechanics look at it and tell me it’s the Fuel rail pressure sensor but obviously that’s not it.
My car has 150000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
