Q: Engine Stalling

asked by on January 30, 2017

My 2011 Kia Sorento stalls while driving. The first time it happened we were stopped at a light and it stalled. Lights and radio stay on, but the engine cuts out. We then were going 70mph on the interstate and the car did the same thing, only we were going 70mph. Not safe!! I've done some research, and a lot of these Sorentos have the same issue, but no one gives a clear answer as to what the cause of this is. Kia dealer keeps saying that nothing is wrong. And at one time it spit out a code for a cylinder #1 misfire. What do you think is causing this?

My car has 110000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
