Q: Engine sounds locked up

asked by on

The engine won't turn over. It tries but acts as if it's locked up.

Unless your engine is locked up from a mechanical issue or has been fluid locked, then you most likely have a starter or battery issue. Further visual inspection will be needed to make a proper diagnosis. I recommend having a certified mechanic, such as one from YourMechanic, come to your location to inspect your car’s turn over issue and determine what repair is needed to get your car back on the road.
