After my Jeep is turned on and reaches operating temperature, the temp gauge starts going up and digitally reads anywhere between 220 and 250 degrees. The engine then starts to shake violently and there is a slight loss of power. Turning on the heater does cool the engine down and cause the shaking to stop. I took it down to the dealership where I bought it, and they said that there was nothing they could do aside from taking the car in for a couple days, completely tearing it down and running through every aspect of the engine and coolant system.
