Q: Electric power steering not working

asked by on March 01, 2018

My electronic power steering does not work all the time. Some times it works just fine no issues at all. Then other times it doesnt work at all. Sometimes it works and ill be driving down the road and then all of a sudden it goes out. One temporary remedy that works about 60 percent of the time is disconnecting the battery and draining it for a minute and then reconnecting and starting the car and then it works for the time being. It does it regardless of weather.

My car has 165000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
