Q: Drove fine, then no acceleration and now no idle. Would start but would die if given gas 1991 Ford Explorer

asked by on March 18, 2017

My '91 Ford explorer Eddie Bauer edition was running fine and then just lost acceleration while driving. Then it died on me. I changed the fuel filter and It would start but idle rough. if I tried to give it gas it would die. Then a few days afterwards it wouldn't even idle. I have changed the spark plugs, wires, fuel filter and pump, throttle positioning sensor, and done a complete clean out on my oil. I'm not sure what to do next. Being a single mom on low budget, I need to fix this the cheapest way possible.

My car has 157000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
