Q: Driver's side window not working

asked by on

The driver's window won't go up.

There are a few things that can cause this. It could be the switch, window lift motor, or the regulator. Turn the key on and press the down on the switch while watching the dome light. Does the light dim when pushing down? If it does but does not dim while pulling up, it’s probable the switch. If nothing happens, it could be the motor. If you hear unusual noises when hitting the switch, the regulator could be broken. A qualified mechanic from YourMechanic can come out and diagnose your car window’s issue.
