Q: Drive 100 miles after sensor replacement in order to see if it worked?

asked by on July 01, 2017

Good afternoon, My friend bought/installed a new sensor trying to resolve the stability system warning light on his 2004 Buick Park Avenue ultra. Is it true he now has to drive it for approx. 100 miles before he can be sure the problem is resolved and the warning("Service Stability System") light won't be illuminated?

My car has 144000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
