Q: Door handle not opening from inside

asked by on

The door handle on the driver's side does not open from the inside.

This is a common problem on the Fusions; the plastic handle breaks away from the latch cable. The door panel will have to be removed to complete the repair. You may want to enlist the help of a mechanic, such as one from YourMechanic, who will have the tools and training necessary to safely remove the door panel, and install a new interior door handle.
