Q: Custom cam

asked by on February 17, 2017

I just recently installed a custom grind cam in my 2011 Ram, with new springs, and lifters. Of course I pulled the heads to install the lifters so I did new head gaskets as well. So what I am having trouble with is it is smoking, white smoke to be exact. Not all the time, just initial start up, and when I shut her off, after driving for a minute it stops, and is 100% normal. I did some data logging at the tune is good, no issues seen in performance, and she is not losing coolant. I personally think there is a leak on the passenger side valve cover, dripping onto the header and causing the smoke, unfortunately I had to go outta town before I could check out anything. I was wanting to see if there is any other suggestions, that I could look into when I get back.

My car has 24500 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
