Q: Q: Cruise control not working

asked by on

My cruise control is not working.

The cruise control circuit has some vital components that are simple to check. The circuit uses the brake lights as part of the circuit to cut off the cruise when you step on the brake. If a brake light is out, the system will sometimes not work. This can include the third brake light. Other components that can fail are the brake light switch, the cruise control switch, the mechanism that maintains the throttle depressed. These are lesson common but they do fail. I suggest getting help from a qualified mechanic, such as one from YourMechanic, to help you diagnose why your cruise control is not working.
