Q: Cruise control not working in 99 elantra

Cruise control not working
My car has an automatic transmission.

Hello, thank you for writing in. The vehicle is going to need further testing on the cruise control switch and the module. Either of these may be malfunctioning. The switch activates a servo motor that holds the throttle in place, and makes adjustments to it via engine load information. If the switch, throttle, computer, or servo motor has failed, the cruise control will not function. All of these can be inspected visually and electrically. For further diagnostic help, contact our services department to schedule an appointment.
