Q: Cost to replace a transmission
Hello. I recently got into an accident and had to have major repairs done to my vehicle. I got it back and less than 24 hours later it had to be towed back to the shop due to it leaking a thick, dark fluid and the engine was catching/shaking uncontrollably and was making a terrible noise. Before I could even get it to the location it was towed from, it shut off and sputtered back to life before I turned it off in the parking lot. The garage is now saying they have to have a Jeep specialist come and inspect it because it's a serious issue with the transmission. How much would it cost to fully replace the transmission and repair the further damage done to my engine?
