Q: Cost of labor

asked by on February 15, 2017

I need to reinstall the gearshift assembly, speed sensor, and the upstream O2 sensor in my sons 1997 Honda Accord LX, four-cylinder automatic transmission. I have all the parts except for the upstream O2 sensor. Before all of this needed replaced the instrument cluster was not registering and all of the lights were not working on the dash or near the gearshift. I was told to change The shift solenoid which is located inside the gearshift. Shift solenoid was close to $200 or I could get a gear shift assembly for 50 so that's what I did.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Temp. Gauge rises when I'm stopped or idling and when I run the AC but not when I'm moving.

Fit a modified AUDI TT oil pump to the car, replaced the oil pressure sensor, but oil pressure light still on! 2005 Volkswagon
Hello - I would first put a real oil pressure gauge (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/how-do-you-know-if-the-oil-pressure-gauge-is-bad) on the port for the oil pressure switch and see what real pressure looks like before driving it. Low oil pressure light switches trigger at only about 5...
Car still won't start
That sounds very frustrating. It's hard to say from here what is going on but it could be a poor connection somewhere, or that one or more of your replacement parts is defective. There are a lot of rebuilders putting...
