Replaced battery/alternator, but car won't start; if it's the electronic control unit, need instructions to find & replace it
Before you go replacing any additional components I would suggest calling a mechanic, like one from YourMechanic, to come to you and diagnosis the no start problem (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/car-is-not-starting-inspection) for you. It will save you from guessing on what is the...
Won't crank.
Depending on if you overheated the engine and it still has the cracked radiator, then you may have more than one problem. You may have a problem with the crankshaft sensor (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-crankshaft-position-sensor) if you are not getting spark. You said...
Maintenance light - 2003 Honda Pilot

It could be as simple as a valve cover gasket, or as complicated as a turbocharger. Because of the way the engine is oriented in your car, there are several types of oil leaks that can end up on the...
Steering wheel jerking
Hi Karen, What you are describing sounds like a problem with the rack and pinion gears. The rack and pinion gear set does two things: It converts the rotational motion of the steering wheel into the linear motion needed to...
i am going out of town for two weeks what should i do about my car battery
Hello, thank you for writing in. Your vehicle should be fine for 2 weeks. If you think there is going to be an issue, you can disconnect the battery cables so the vehicle cannot drain it. This may reset some...
While I was driving the car felt like it went into neutral even though it was still in drive.
Sounds like the automatic transmission might be failing. The mileage and age are about right. If there is a dipstick, you can check the fluid yourself, (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/how-to-check-and-add-fluid-to-an-automatic-transmission) but many cars made after the late 1990,s don't even have a dipstick...
