Q: Coolent repair

asked by on July 18, 2017

I drove a car for about a hour not knowing the radiator, and thermostat housing and thermostat weren't any good. The temp gauge stayed idle the whole time until i pulled in my driveway. NO water was going to the motor and once we took all the stuff apart we could tell it had been that way for awhile. Buy the water was trapped in the radiator so i didn't know. My question is, do you think that messed my motor up? It wasn't knocking or anything and soon as it happen i cut the car off.

My car has 130000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
