Q: Coolant boils and overheats

asked by on September 03, 2017

My truck overheats when it's idling and even driving (no A/C) if I put it in 2nd gear and drive it when it starts to over heat it will go back to normal for about 5 minutes max then does it again. Has new radiator, water pump, thermostat, coolant hoses, fan clutch. It has the proper coolant mixture with dexcool. No milky coolant. I have taken it to a family friend that runs a shop and he is even getting stumbled but told me maybe the fan clutch is bad but I wanted to hear what others think. Thank you.

My car has 274782 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
