Q: Clutch will not go into gear when husband was driving he pressed the clutch petal which wouldn't budge

Clutch pedal wouldn't move I pushed it so hard it went the petal I dropped the transmission too see if it was he slave cylinder was bad it wasn't put back together bleed the clutch petal super soft and won't go into gear
