Q: Check pad ware light came on

asked by on

Check pad ware Light came on. How long can I keep driving till I get it checked out . Also where is the best place to get my brakes done inexpensively ?

My car has 94000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

The light will come on when the brake pad is worn down to the minimum thickness and should be inspected right away. If you would like, a YourMechanic, certified technician can come and diagnose the brakes and quote the needed repairs for you. You may only need the front brakes or may need all 4 wheel brakes done.
